Another week in the books for Last Resort Television means another edition of the James Morgan Show!

Our third week had some holes in it, but hopefully, our dedicated viewers didn't forget to watch our shows…

  13. She-Hulk 4.57
  14. Have Gun - Will Travel 4.24
  15. Rubber City Rockers 3.34
  16. Human 3.19

Mo Buck pretty much covered what I wanted to say over at the LRTV discussion thread, so I guess I'll have more news for you next week!

Now, it's time for…

Just a quick note for everyone... While the series "Hype" and "La Maupin" were featured in my preseason rankings, they have been left off of the Week 1 Power Rankings since they have yet to premiere. However, once shows have premiered, they will always be present on the list even if there isn't a new episode that week.

1. NEZ PERCE
(Last Week: 1)
Writer: Dwight Gallo / Executive Producer: Scott Cooper
Nez Perce has not let up from its tense, riveting first season. Sure, not a whole lot of plot happened in the premiere episode, but what did happen was nerve-racking and emotional.

2. ROLLING STONE
(Last Week: 2)
Writer: D.R. Cobb / Executive Producer: Oliver Stone
Rolling Stone's Season 2 premiere might be one of the best episodes of the series so far. It eschewed the formula and decided to not focus on flashy pop culture guest stars, and instead focused on the interactions between the regular cast members to great effect.

3. MANSON

(Last Week: 4)
Writer: Lon Charles / Executive Producer: Antonio Campos
I wasn't sure exactly what kind of show we would be getting plot-wise, but if the pilot is any indication, it looks like we are in for a thoughtful crime story that covers little known aspects of the infamous criminal's life.

4. L.A. NOIRE
(Last Week: 5)
Writer: John Malone / Executive Producer: Gavin O'Connor
The worry here would be that the series would be too episodic, but clearly writer John Malone has figured out a good formula to make the series work. Plus the casting is spot-on so far.

5. BURNT PRAIRIE
(Last Week: 9)
Writer: Chad Taylor / Executive Producer: James Ponsoldt
This was a very well done pilot. It did everything you need it to do, and more. Some of the actors didn't get much to do, but with the set-up at the end of the episode I am incredibly interested in where this one is heading.

6. RUBBER CITY ROCKERS

(Last Week: 10)
Writer: D.R. Cobb / Executive Producer: David Wain
What I like about Rubber City Rockers is that it is doing something no other show on TV is really doing right now and it is refreshing. It doesn't hurt that it is the funniest show on LRTV right now.

7. HITMAN
(Last Week: 12)
Writer: Dwight Gallo / Executive Producer: Francis Lawrence
The show struggled last season, but was able to right the ship by season's end. The show has maintained its focus with the Season 2 premiere which not only gives Agent 47 more character moments, but gives the new season a strong inciting incident.

8. GAUNTLET
(Last Week: 6)
Writer: Matt Parker / Executive Producer: Antoine Fuqua
The season's new characters look to bring a strong element of conflict to the series. Writer Matt Parker clearly has a feel for these characters by this point and it shows.

9. CALL MY AGENT
(Last Week: 3)
Writer: Dominic Wilkins / Executive Producer: Jason Reitman
The Season 2 premiere turned out to be one of the weakest episodes of the series so far. It was missing the fun character moments and satiric edge the series has become known for, even with the strong guest-starring turn from character actor Neal McDonough.

10. MIAMI VICE
(Last Week: 13)
Writer: Roy Horne / Executive Producer: Peter Berg
Writer Roy Horne has talked about focusing on the relationships between the characters in this season, and it is definitely apparent. Both of the leads have some strong scenes and the show feels more confident than ever.

11. HAVE GUN - WILL TRAVEL
(Last Week: 11)
Writer: Dwight Gallo / Executive Producer: Frank Darabont
Walton Goggins was his usual great self in the pilot episode giving us a character who is super professional on the outside, but clearly has a hidden dark side. I worry a bit about how the series will channel that, but the pilot was decent.

12. SHOWTIME
(Last Week: 7)
Writers: Mo Buck & Chad Taylor / Executive Producer: Steven Soderbergh
While the cast of characters is interesting, the pilot really didn't give us much sense of story. It introduced everybody, but I still don't feel like I know everyone. Based on the behind the scenes pedigree, I'm not too worried, but if some semblance of story doesn't kick in by next week, I might be.

13. SHE-HULK
(Last Week: 8)
Writer: Chad Taylor / Executive Producer: Phoebe Waller-Bridge
The cast is funny and likable, but after the pilot I'm still left wondering how exactly they are going to utilize the Hulk effects. The series could really go in either direction for me at this point, but I'm hoping it pulls off the She-Hulk elements well since it already pulls off the comedy angle well.

14. SURVIVOR: LAST RESORT
(Last Week: 16)
Writer: Chad Taylor
While the cast isn't quite as colorful as last season's, at least not yet, there are a few with interesting back stories that could prove intriguing going forward.

15. THE SURVIVORS
(Last Week: 14)
Writer: Mo Buck / Executive Producer: Tomas Alfredson
The pilot wasn't terrible, but it felt like to took a long time to get moving. Fraser was strong in the lead role, but the rest of his family feels one-dimensional at this point, while some feel completely miscast *cough* Logan Lerman *cough*

16. HUMAN
(Last Week: 17)
Writer: Ann Morrow / Executive Producer: Michelle MacLaren
The androids that are the main attraction of the series for the audience aren't given anything to do in the pilot, while the cast of scientists are left to deliver expository scenes.

See you next week!
