The James Morgan Show 2.2

Hi there everyone and welcome to the second episode of my second season and today, I'll just jump right ahead and unveil the first part of our sophomore schedule!

MONDAY

Nez Perce: This show swept the Golden Reel and it will be back for one final season. Your favorite characters will be back with Adam Beach as Chief Joseph, Matthew Rhys as General Oliver O. Howard, Martin Sensmeier as Ollokot, Gil Birmingham as Toohoolhoolzote, Forrest Goodluck as Wahilitis, Julia Jones as Springtime, Tatanka Means as Red Grizzly and Amber Midthunder as Little Bird returning. Golden Reel nominee Zahn McClarnon, who plays Looking Glass has been promoted as a series regular, as is Ben Schnetzer as Captain David Perry.

The Survivors:
The first new show to be announced for our second season is penned by no other than Last Resort Television president Mo Buck. Joining Nez Perce as a show based on a previously failed attempt at a movie script, the Survivors is an ambitious crime-sci-fi drama with Tomas Alfredson serving as executive producer. An adaptation of a French Canadian television series, the Survivors has cast Golden Reel winner Brendan Fraser in the lead role as Gerald a husband and father of three working as a policeman in 1960's Montreal. Cara Buono has signed on to play his wife Mary and Logan Lerman, Odeya Rush and Owen Vaccaro have signed to play his children, Charles, Sarah and Marco, respectively. The family will get embroiled in a bizarre phenomenon and will be transported to modern times, but they remain stuck with their old-school mentality and views.

Total Drama: Asuka Valley: A writer returns to Last Resort Television after a failed attempt in our first season. Writer Jacob Jones has been hired to write a revival of the classic animated series with creator Tom McGillis returning as executive producer. The series is a parody of reality shows such as Survivor with a team of hosts putting the contestants in unimaginable situations. Jones will also reunite with voice actors he worked with in Fa-Sass with Christian Potenza reprising his role of Chris, the host of Total Drama, Clé Bennett returning as Chef, the co-host of Total Drama. Emilie-Claire Barlow will return to the series, but this time as Chloe, an aspiring actress and contestant on Total Drama.

TUESDAY

She-Hulk: The Marvel Comics world comes to Last Resort Television with writer Chad Taylor teaming up with executive producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge to bring the She-Hulk character to the small screen. Jenny Slate has been hired as Jennifer Walters, an introverted NYC lawyer whose life is turned upside down when she gets into a car accident. Producer Phoebe Waller Bridge will also star as Mary MacPherran, Jen's co-worker and close confident. The show is branded as the first ever superhero legal comedy.

Human: Another writer returns with a different show after the previous one ended as Ann Morrow returns to LRTV with Human, an original sci-fi drama with Michelle MacLaren as executive producer. It tells the story of a team of scientists in a near future who try to create two human-like robots to populate a planet, but they struggle to make them behave like humans. Bryan Batt and Michelle Fairley have been hired as the scientists behind the project and Adrien Rawlins will join them as the superior.

Hype: MBWA writer Dominic Wilkins has been hired to write an original series about a group of little league mascots who finds out they can influence the outcomes of games to make money while climbing the mascot ranks. The crime dark comedy will be helmed by executive producer Stephen Merchant with Seth Green in the lead role of a man struggling with a alcohol addiction who's also a mascot. Alicia Silverstone will join him as the head of the mascot organization behind the scam.

WEDNESDAY

Showtime: The team behind the hit Season 12 film Doctor Love is back with a television series set in the world of 80's wrestling. Mo Buck and Chad Taylor will write the show with Steven Soderbergh as executive producer. A few actors have joined the ensemble cast with Joe Magianello signing to play the promotion's biggest star, Ricky Santana. He will be joined by Nick Offerman and Cooper Andrews, also playing wrestlers. Offerman will play Bill Grundy, a disgruntled industry veteran struggling to stay relevant and Andrews will play the promotion's top heel, Loto the Evil Islander.

Miami Vice: Not much is known about the second season, but I think it's safe to assume that all of your favorite detectives will be back for a second outing.

Rubber City Rockers: Fresh off a hot first season with Last Resort Television, veteran D.R. Cobb has been hired to write an adaptation of the graphic novel Punk Rock and Trailer Parks by John "Derf" Backderf. David Wain has been hired as executive producer. The comedy will be about a young man who rises in the Rubber City punk rock scene in the 1980's. Ross Lynch has signed on to play Otto, the main character and the center of the story.

That will be about it for today's episode and hopefully you like the shows we have so far. I'll be back next Sunday with brand new shows to talk about ! See you next week!
