The James Morgan Show (S1E4)

Hello LRF world and welcome to the latest episode of the James Morgan Show! As our first seasons gets closer and closer to release, I am here today to tell you a little more about our different productions. With that said, I'm afraid that I won't have information about two of our shows since they haven't been officially announced yet, but you'll get a nice idea of our completed schedule once this episode of the James Morgan Show is over.

Shot in the Albertain Plains, this historical war / drama / western will lead off her schedule with the Monday primetime spot. Rumors are the budget for this show is just under two million dollars. This distinct lack of star power, aside from veteran TV actor Matthew Rhys kept the costs low.

This period érotico-dark comedic-thriller, boasts some star power compared to its Monday night colleague. The salaries of Cardellini, Miller and Molina take up just under half the production budget, which is rumored to be right at one million dollars per episode. The studio has high hopes for this production, with the money and the timeslot, they've given executive producer François Ozon, which is a calculated risk given the rather risqué genre.

Another period drama, Ann Morrow and Marielle Hellers' retelling of the life of the mysterious Suzanne is a passion project for the author and a subject close to the heart of the studio head, but a pricey one. The addition of Tobey Maguire, the highest-paid actor on the show brings the production budget to over a million dollars, with the vast majority of it going to the cast. With only one season planned, the drama shot on location in the streets of Quebec (to save on the production budget, no need to dress up streets for the historical scenes) will have to get satisfactory ratings and / or critical acclaim to justify its cost.

An unceremonious way to present to you the main duo, but here it is anyway. Josh Holloway and Taye Diggs will both have the same salary, but it's really executive producer Peter Berg and the overall production budget that ramp up the budget of this remake to about two million dollars per episode. Shot on location in Miami, Miami Vice will try to do better than the previous batch of television shows remake and the studio is confident that it will.

This video game remake by David S. Goyer and writer Mark Newton will have a budget close to one million dollars, with most of it going for the production of the show, as the cast is fairly unexpensive. Most of the cast will earn the base fee per episode decided by the studio and will hope for a salary increase if the show is renewed for a second season. The only unannounced show so far, Fa-Sass: Queen of Style and Skill from writer Jacob Jones and Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of Samurai Jack, is an animated comedy intended for families. Stephanie Anne Mills will voice the main actor, Cassandra a young girl who dreams big and lives even bigger. Nika Futterman will voice Cassandra's younger cousin Robyn, Catherine Taber will voice Cassandra's BFF Peyton, Hynden Walch will voice Cassandra's other BFF Summer and Diego Luna, who completes the main cast, will voice Jupiter, a hopeful astronomer from Mexico City who moves to America. The production budget for this show will be just over $750,000 per episode, with most of it going to the production. Not much to say about this one, with all the preview post previously posted. A more detailed cast preview will be posted next Thursday, a week before the show airs.
This sports drama is more costly than anticipated with rising star John David Washington getting a bigger payday than anticipated to appear as the veteran running back of the Memphis football team. Veteran actor William Fichtner took a slight discount as he was finally able to secure a leading role and Josh Duhamel is reportedly the highest paid cast member. The budget is getting close to $1,3M which is higher than anticipated. I'm going to stop there for today and I'll be back next week, just before our first season officially starts to talk to you about the remaining shows that I haven't covered here and the two other unannounced shows.
