Following the last episode, I don't have much to say before we jump right back to the in-development section, because, let's be honest, that's why you're watching this week, right ?
Disclaimer : As you can see, most shows in the first half are returning shows from previous seasons (only 3 new shows for the entire first half, all revealed following this episode). It would be appreciated for everyone who has a show coming out in the first half to contact us with some info so I can talk about them, otherwise this is going to become boring really fast. The second half "In Development" section should be more interesting, with eight ! new shows!
Crime of the Century : Set to join Alex Wolff and Nick Robinson in the anthology true crime series by Lon Charles and Bennett Miller are John Lithgow (The Crown, The Birth of Frankenstein), Gabriel Bateman (Child's Play, Aliens vs. Predator: The First Hunt) and David Schwimmer (Will & Grace, American Crime Story). The veteran Lithgow will play lawyer Clarence Darrow, while Bateman will play Bobby Franks, the victim. Schwimmer play Nick Robinson's Richard Loeb's father.
Boreas : Joining the already announced Merritt Wever and Thomasin McKenzie in Mark Romanek and Ann Morrow's apocalyptic dramatic thriller are Sunny Suljic (Mid90's, The Killing of the Sacred Deer), Shea Whigham (Huntress, City of Lies) and Mikael Persbrandt (Sex Education, The Salvation). Suljic will play Wever's son and McKenzie's brother, while Shea Whigham will play their family's closest and over protective neighbour. Persbrandt will play a mysterious leading figure who tries to turn the state of the world to its avantage.
The Controllers : Following the recent success of its latest co-writing effort with John Malone, Jimmy Ellis pitched a Control spin-off titled The Controllers. Lance Reddick (Control, John Wick) and David Dastmalchian (Control, MacGyver) will reprise their roles from the movie, as Gideon and Calvin Minos, respectively. They will be joined by Jackie Earle Haley (Spawn, The Stand) in a lead role. Dan Trachtenberg (Lost Planet, 10 Cloverfield Lane) will produce from a Jimmy Ellis (Control, The Devil's Passage) script.
Showtime : Last season ended with TCW merging with an other organization, so it was to be expected to have addition to the cast. O'Shea Jackson Jr. (Ranger, Straight Outta Compton) and Samara Weaving (Y: The Last Man, The Reign of Lady Morgana) have joined the ensemble cast as the new wrestler Cain Khan and his valet, Honey Moon. Steven Soderbergh produces a script co-written by Mo Buck and Chad Taylor.
Miami Vice : News from the writing room says that the main theme of Season 3 is about Crockett's (Josh Holloway) world having fallen apart following the murder of Cassidy at the end of Season 2, while the rest of the Vice squad struggles to keep him together. Peter Berg produces a Roy Horne script.
She-Hulk : Word is out that Jenny Slate, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Himesh Patel will all return as the only series regular for the legal superhero comedy. Occasional apperances from Michael Richards and Finn Wittrock are expected during the season. In addition to her on-screen role, Waller-Bridge will return as showrunner with a script from Chad Taylor.
Call My Agent : Following last Season's last minute revelation of Mark (Bill Nighy)'s death, the Jones Agency will be under pressure, once again, as one of their staff member becomes the number one suspect. Many guest stars will come in the agency as the agents try to conjugate their personal and professional lives. It has been rumored that recurring cast member Chris Colfer (Desmond) will become a series regular starting this season. Jason Reitman returns as producer with Dominic Wilkins writing.
