For Your Consideration.... Best Actor

Hello, I'm Harry Wright and welcome to the second ever For Your Consideration segment of Last Resort Television. As we prepare for the 1st Golden Views Awards, I thought it was a great idea to give you a little reminder of the roles played by the lead actors that will be featured in the nomination ballot.

Josh Lucas - Burnt Prairie
Josh Lucas plays Cal Montgomery, a small-town sheriff who is faced with multiple ethical dilemmas when his domain - both his city and family - is stricken with immense tragedy.

William Fichtner - Gauntlet
William Fichtner is Ken Heath, Head Coach and General Manager of the Memphis Pharaohs, in Gauntlet. Coach Heath's job is more stressful than ever with high expectations for the team due to the drafting of rookie quarterback Alex Wright and the emergence of star running back Jefferson Thomas, as well as the hiring of college offensive guru Stan Swift as the team's new offensive coordinator who may be angling to take Heath's job.

Walton Goggins - Have Gun - Will Travel
Walton Goggins plays the enigmatic gunfighter, Paladin, in Have Gun - Will Travel. On the surface, Paladin comes across as a gentleman gunfighter, and even something of a dandy, but beneath the surface Paladin is a deadly gunfighter with an anger streak.

Ed Skrein - Hitman
Ed Skrein plays the mysterious and deadly assassin, Agent 47, in Hitman. Agent 47 spends much of this season seeking to locate his kidnapped friend and punish those responsible. The personal stakes led to 47 showing much more of his human side than he usually shows.

Justin Theroux - Hitman
Justin Theroux plays James, an android, in Human. Trapped in a simulation and now knowing much about the world, James slowly learns human emotions alongside his partner and lover, Eva and forms a strong bond with her than withstands everything put in their way.

Seth Green - Hype
Seth Green plays perennial mascot David Brady, in Hype. Involved against his will in a money-stealing scam, David quickly finds himself in the center of the mess after everything crumbles and build everything back up to prevent his new friends from suffering.

Joe Alwyn - L.A. Noire
Joe Alwyn appears as Cole Phelps, a police officer and later detective fo the Los Angeles Police Department, in L.A. Noire. Returning home following the war, Cole Phelps begins quickly rising up through the ranks of the department thanks to his aggressive pursuit of justice.

Jim Sturgess - Manson
Jim Sturgess plays the titular character, Charles Manson himself, in the series Manson. He has managed a performance with many layers, showing off the duplicitous nature of Manson throughout the first season which has followed Manson from juvenile delinquent to convict to guitar strumming guru. Part opportunist, part common criminal, part wannabe guru, Sturgess' Manson is a constantly evolving performance. 

Josh Holloway - Miami Vice
Josh Holloway plays the dogged Miami Vice Detective Sonny Crockett in Miami Vice. This season Holloway has given another intensely charismatic performance as the directive has taken down drug lords, the Yakuza, shady executives and more, all while dealing with the pitfalls of falling in love on the job.

Taye Diggs - Miami Vice
Taye Diggs plays the smooth talking detective Ricardo Tubbs in Miami Vice. This season Diggs' Tubbs showed chemistry with his partner Holloway's Crockett while trying to keep Crockett focused on the job at hand.

Adam Beach - Nez Perce
Adam Beach plays Joseph, the determined chief of the Nez Perce tribe, in Nez Perce. Joseph continues leading his tribe in their flight away from their ancestral lands and toward Canada, but with the US forces hot on their trail, Joseph finds his abilities as a leader constantly tested.

Josh Hartnett - Rolling Stone
Josh Hartnett appears as Brady Conroy, reporter for Rolling Stone magazine and professor of journalism at UC Berkeley, on the series Rolling Stone. Brady struggles maintaining his relationships while juggling his two careers, unsure of which he wants to fully immerse himself in.

Ross Lynch - Rubber City Rockers
Ross Lynch appears as Otto, or The Baron as he calls himself, on the series Rubber City Rockers. Otto openly embraces his nerdiness, which combined with his freakish physical strength, makes him a truly unique character. Otto has recently fallen in love with punk rock music and even finds himself working at the only punk club in Akron, allowing him ample opportunity to interact with his idols.

Joe Manganiello - Showtime
Joe Manganiello plays Ricky Santana, TCW's top star who finds himself at a series of personal and professional crossroads that will impact everyone around him.

Brendan Fraser - The Survivors
Brendan Fraser plays Gerald, in The Survivors. A former detective, Gerald was embroiled in a unsolvable case and he ended up in 2019 overnight. Gerald struggles to keep his family together and to keep his cool as he realises the world has changed and it doesn't look like they know how to get back in the sixties, where they belong.

Kristin Chenoweth - Burnt Prairie
Chenoweth plays Rose Montgomery, a Methodist pastor who suddenly finds herself in the important role of healer as Burnt Prairie mourns their fallen prodigal son.

Lesley Manville - Call My Agent
Lesley Manville plays Miranda Jones, in Call My Agent. This season saw Miranda defending her leadership and her position in a legal battle against a pesky journalist trying to ruin her agency and her reputation. She showed a surprising amount of character and overcame this obstacle.

Charlotte Riley - Hitman
Charlotte Riley plays Diana Burnwood, the handler of Agent 47, in Hitman. With Agent 47 on a quest for vengeance, Diana had her hands fill trying to direct his anger for the benefit of the company.

Letitia Wright - Human
Letitia Wright plays Eva, an android, in Human. Eva lives in a simulation and she's paired with another android, James, with whom she falls in love. Despite everything that happens, Eva is able to overcome obstacles and learn a vast array of emotions.

Jenny Slate - She-Hulk
Jenny Slate plays Jen Walters, a lawyer in New York City whose rather anonymous life is turned upside down after a blood transfusion causes her to occasionally transform into the superpowered She-Hulk.

Anna Gunn - Showtime
Anna Gunn plays Diane Browne, owner of Texas Championship Wrestling, in Showtime. Diane takes over the company after her husband dies and her employees soon find out she has bigger plans than him for TCW, leading it with an iron hand.

Cara Buono - The Survivors
Cara Buono plays the ultra-religious Mary, wife of Gerald, in The Survivors. After she's teleported in 2019, against her will, Mary struggles to adapt to her new world as almost anything goes against what she believes in. A series of events will lead her to question her life choices and accept her fate as a modern woman.

Aimee Teegarden - Rolling Stone
Aimee Teegarden appears as Celeste on the series Rolling Stone. Her life has gotten more turbulent as she found herself arrested during a protest, and her love life got more than a little complicated when Brady became her new journalism professor.

As we prepare for the 1st Golden Views Awards, I thought it was a great idea to give you a little reminder of the roles played by the supporting actors that will be featured in the nomination ballot.

John Gallagher Jr. - Burnt Prairie
John Gallagher Jr. plays Thomas Hardy, a BPHS teacher who finds himself thrusted into the hottest of hot seats and in the shadow of his mentor as the coach of the BPHS basketball team.

Robert Forster - Burnt Prairie
The late Robert Forster plays Coach Dick Carpenter, legendary BPHS basketball coach whose long career comes to a sudden halt upon his reaction to Von's death. 


Brian d'Arcy James - Call My Agent
Brian d'Arcy James plays Wilson Johnson, a staff member of the Jones Agency, in Call My Agent. Wilson's role for the agency changed during the season as he gained additional responsabilities, while the agency was trying to get out of a scandal.

Rainn Wilson - Call My Agent
Rainn Wilson plays Robert "Bob" Hollis, an agent to the stars, in Call My Agent. This season saw Bob deal with the devil itself, Mark, to save the agency from closing following its scandal and Bob, unbeknownst to him, got in the mix with some bad apples.

Josh Duhamel - Gauntlet
Josh Duhamel is Tim Collins, veteran quarterback of the Memphis Pharaohs, in Gauntlet. This season Collins saw his status as starting quarterback taken away by the rookie phenom Alex Wright. Collins has found himself struggling to remain relevant on and off the field, while trying to rekindle his relationship with the city's mayor, Sharon Matthews.

Trevor Jackson - Gauntlet
Trevor Jackson is Jefferson Thomas, star running back of the Memphis Pharaohs, in Gauntlet. This season, Thomas tried to turn around his personal life for the benefit of his football career, but old habits and old flames have re-emerged to complicate things for him.

Benedict Wong - Have Gun - Will Travel
Benedict Wong plays the Hotel Charlemagne's jack-of-all-trades bellhop, Chan, in Have Gun - Will Travel. The series' hero Paladin relies on Chan for his daily cup of coffee and his newspaper, but beyond that Chan has shown himself as a more than capable man of action who takes great pride in his work and protecting his family.

Charles Baker - Hype
Charles Baker plays Chuck, a mascot, in Hype. Chuck's decided to leave his previous life as a drug-addict behind and is helped by being recruited in a mascot association where, he finds new joys of life. After the whole thing turns sour, Chuck, with nowhere to go, turns back to his old life.

Daniel Stern - Hype
Daniel Stern plays Dennis, Sarah's right-hand man, in Hype. A former drug addict himself found at rock bottom by Sarah, he helps her oversee her operation. When things go bad, he's charged to find out what happened and make sure the culprit pays. 

Eric Ladin - L.A. Noire
Eric Ladin appears as Detective Stefan Bekowsky, Cole Phelps' partner in the Traffic Department, in L.A. Noire. Bekowsky is often annoyed by their cases ans is averse to paper work, but is a solid detective helping show Phelps what it takes to solve a case.

Beau Mirchoff - Manson
Beau Mirchoff plays Charles "Tex" Watson, in Manson. Watson is a charming Texan with a wild side who decides to uproot himself and settle in California for the beaches and women. After meeting Charles Manson, Watson becomes a royal confidant and right-hand man of Manson.

Andy Garcia - Miami Vice
Andy Garcia continued his reliable performance as Lt. Martin Castillo in Miami Vice this season. His no nonsense demeanor and loyalty toward the officers under his supervision is regularly tested.

Gil Birmingham - Nez Perce
Gil Birmingham plays Toohoolhoolzote, one of the tribal leaders, in Nez Perce. Toohoolhoolzote, despite his age and senior position in the tribe demonstrates his ability as a fierce warrior and tactician throughout the tribes' stands against the US forces.

Matthew Rhys - Nez Perce
Matthew Rhys plays the conflicted US General Oliver O. Howard in Nez Perce. While Howard is sympathetic toward the plight of the Nez Perce people, General Howard is a man of duty who follows his orders.

Karl Glusman - Rolling Stone
Karl Glusman appears as Jann Wenner, co-founder and publisher of Rolling Stone magazine, on the series Rolling Stone. Wenner continues to oversee the magazine and tries to keep it on the cutting edge of music and political coverage.

Lou Taylor Pucci - Rolling Stone
Lou Taylor Pucci appears as Jimmy Conroy, the ex-con little brother of Brady Conroy, on the series Rolling Stone. Following a short prison stint for drug charges, Jimmy finds himself living with his older brother and working for the magazine as a photographer.

Justin Long - Rubber City Rockers
Justin Long appears as various characters on the series Rubber City Rockers. Long appears as a different character in almost every episode of the series, showing off his comedic range.

Logan Miller - Rubber City Rockers
Logan Miller appears as Wes on the series Rubber City Rockers. After going to a concert with Otto, Wes quickly becomes one of Otto's best friends and frequent sidekick on his misadventures.

Clayne Crawford - Showtime
Clayne Crawford plays "The Superior" Brad Wolfe, a cocky heel who finds himself descending into a mid-life crisis as he loses control of the locker room (and of his sister).

Nick Offerman - Showtime
Nick Offerman plays veteran wrestler Bill Gundy, in Showtime. In the twilight of his career, Bill takes technical newcomer Ben Carr under his wing as a protege to show him how to survive in the crazy world of Southern wrestling, while revitalizing his career tag teaming with him.

Logan Lerman - The Survivors
Logan Lerman plays Charles, son of Gerald and Mary, in The Survivors. After he was teleported against his will in 2019, Charles is involved in all sorts of things and a lot happens to him, from getting kidnapped to learning who is true father is.

Michael Mando - The Survivors
Michael Mando plays the mysterious Victor, in The Survivors. Working for Chartwell, Victor does his boss' dirty business without asking any questions, antagonizing Gerald's family for a reason that is still unknown.

As we prepare for the 2nd Golden Views Awards, I thought it was a great idea to give you a little reminder of the roles played by the guest actors that will be featured in the nomination ballot.


Diana Silvers - Burnt Prairie
Diana Silvers plays Erin Lamb, a college student who returns to Burnt Prairie to profile Von Murphy for her college paper - a venture that went much different than she expected.

Olivia Holt - Burnt Prairie
Olivia Holt plays Cameron Montgomery, a young BPHS cheerleader, who has to come face-to-face with unspeakable tragedy after the tragic death of her boyfriend.



Caroline Dhavernas - Call My Agent


Caroline Dhavernas plays Andrea Martel, agent to the starts, in Call My Agent. This season, Andrea had to keep her composure and put her talent to good use to deal with her boss' behavior and stubborn client, all while trying to keep the ship afloat. 



Michelle Yeoh - Call My Agent


Michelle Yeoh plays Melissa Hao, a ruthless and dedicated reporter, in Call My Agent. From the very start of the season, Melissa targets Miranda Jones, a woman she deems a hypocrite and an impostor.



Saffron Burrows - Gauntlet

Saffron Burrows is Sharon Matthews, the Mayor of Memphis, Tennessee, in Gauntlet. This season saw Matthews continue her efforts to become the next Governor of the state of Tennessee while trying to balance her duties to the city of Memphis and her relationship with quarterback Tim Collins.


Adrianne Palicki - Have Gun - Will Travel

Adrianne Palicki plays Helena Pervis, Hotel Charlemagne resident and the wife of upstart gunslinger Frank Pervis, in Have Gun - Will Travel. Helena meets Paladin at the Hotel Charlemagne, where she is still coming to terms with her life as the wife of a gunslinger.

Michelle Fairley - Human
Michelle Fairley is Julia Connor, a brilliant scientist whose life turned upside down while working on an experiment. Julia tries to keep her composure while coping with the fact that she's trapped in a simulation and her boss doesn't care about her interests and her needs. 

Alicia Silverstone - Hype

Lily Gladstone plays Oyema, a struggling Nez Perce widow, in Nez Perce. After losing her child and her husband, Oyema struggles to keep her will to live until she is asked to care for a recently orphaned Nez Perce infant.

Alicia Witt - Rolling Stone
Alicia Witt appears as Kylee Hargrove, the office manager at the Rolling Stone Magazine headquarters, on the series Rolling Stone. Everything at the magazine seems to run through her. Kylee has continued to help Brady navigate his burgeoning journalistic career while adding a sexual component to their relationship.

Natalie Alyn Lind - Rubber City Rockers
Natalie Alyn Lind appears as Teri Workman, Otto's dream girl, on the series Rubber City Rockers. While Otto admires Teri from a distance, he observes her short-lived relationship with a teacher.

Kate Walsh - She-Hulk
Kate Walsh plays Mallory Brook, an ace attorney who finds her reign over field under threat when Jen, her rival, joins her at the same firm.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge - She-Hulk
Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays Mary McPherran, Jen's best friend who finds their friendship slowly drifting apart as the She-Hulk takes more of a control on Jen's life.

Zoey Deutch - Showtime

Krysten Ritter plays Gina McRae, a police officer, in The Survivors. Gina encounters Gerald and his family early on and slowly discovers they come from the past and are linked to her dying father, whom she takes care of.
Odeya Rush - The Survivors
Odeya Rush plays Sarah, daughter of Gerald and Mary, in The Survivors. After being teleported in the future, Sarah struggles to adapt to the new era while trying to hide a unplanned pregnancy from her religious mother.
