The tenth edition of my show is probably the most important yet, so be sure to stay until the end to find out all the shows that have been renewed for the next season!
Here are the midseason ratings for our shows that were on air this week.
- Rolling Stone : 8.02 (-)
- Hitman : 6.60 (-6%) (SEASON LOW)
- Nez Perce : 5.77 (+7%) (SEASON HIGH)
- Gauntlet : 5.62 (-7%)
- Miami Vice : 5.53 (-8%)
- Drive : 5.16 (+10%)
- Survivor: Last Resort : 4.73 (-2%)
- Call My Agent : 4.52
- Brimstone : 3.45 (-6%) (SEASON LOW)
Mo Buck's reaction: This week's ratings are still a mixed bag, there's nothing more to say about that. We have to wonder when Hitman's going to stop falling though….
Now, the moment you've all been waiting for… With only a couple of shows still to be renewed, we give you tonight the shows that will continue to air for our second season…
Drive's rating continues to improve week after week after free falling following the premiere's rating that made us salivate. We take a gamble by betting that the show will continue to ascend and will not resume his descent into the bottom of the ratings rankings.
It may not seem like a ratings juggernaut at the moment, but the show is fairly cheap and we like the return on investment that it gives in its current schedule spot. It was hard to judge the show with only one episode, but I think I'm making the right move.
Now that it's out of the way, here's the complete list of the show that will continue to air for our second season
- Nez Perce
- Lady of the House
- Drive
- Miami Vice
- Survivor: Last Resort
- Call My Agent
- Gauntlet
- Hitman
- Rolling Stone
It means that Brimstone and the already cancelled Search Here and Fa-Sass will not be joining us for the second season of Last Resort Television. It also means that writers Mark Newton, H.G. Hansen and Jacob Jones can all claim their vacant spot for our next season.
Now, for the Trivia section!
Bone: As with many successful properties, multiple attemps have been made to turn the franchise into films. Nickelodeon were the first to try, but their child-appealing vision for the film was turned down by the creator of Bone, Jeff Smith. Warner Brothers bought the rights in 2008, but Smith's scripts were rejected by the studio.
Martian Manhunter : A previous attempt to bring Martian Manhunter to the big screen failed in the documented cancelled George Miller Justice League: Mortal film. Curiously enough, Armie Hammer, who plays Oliver Queen / Green Arrow in the LRF DCU was hired to play Batman in that film and long-time George Miller collaborator Hugh Keays-Byrne was supposed to play Martian Manhunter, a much different actor from Mahershala Ali.
Dark Matter : Director Shane Carruth usually takes a very long time to complete a project. There was a nine-year gap between his first and second project. He usually has a lot of different responsabilities on his films. Despite his critical acclaim, he has a hard time to finance his film, which leads to the long hiatuses between his projects.
Radisson: Over the past few years, the truthfulness of Radisson's memoirs were subject to criticism. In fact, he lived of a Hudson Bay Company pension for most of late years and he was irregularly paid. He told his life story on his death bed and many claimed that he made dreamt of the whole thing. Historians have claimed that most of the story seems to be true and they believe that he really endured everything he went true, as confirmed by his autopsy at the time.
