Survivor: Last Resort - New Zealand Preview

As the start of the season is rapidly approaching and with the filming of Survivor: Last Resort underway, the network has decided to release the list of candidates followed by a short biography to get you to know the contestants a little bit more and to build anticipation for the second season.

Without further ado, here are the members of the Maori Tribe

The Maori Tribe

Name: Rick Broller
Age: 42
Job: Private Contractor
Marital Status: Divorced
Would you rather win and be hated by the audience or lose but be loved?: Win and Be Hated
Short Bio: "I'm blunt and to the point and some people don't like that but I don't mind. It's gotten me this far in life and I'm not changing who I am just to please some whiney politically-correct losers. I'm here for my four kids and I'll do whatever it takes to get that grand prize."

Name: Penny Mason
Age: 52
Job: Accountant
Marital Status: Married
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but Be Loved
Short Bio: "Two months ago, my oldest daughter had a son and gifted me my first grandbaby. I think that gives me something to play for. I know I'm not going to be the best competitor but I'm observant and easy to get along with and that should more than make up for it. I want to be the rare older woman to win Survivor."

Name: Bobby Sanders
Age: 25
Job: Architect
Marital Status: Dating
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Win and Be Hated
Short Bio: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? I see a lot of myself in Jim Marshall. If I can successfully emulate his strategy, I know that I will be able to win this game. I'm going to be a whole lot richer in a few weeks. Book it."

Name: Kenny Red Thunder
Age: 30
Job: Native American Activist
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Win and Be Hated
Short Bio: "There's two things I know going into this game: 1.) I'm going to be the most athletic person in the competition. I'm an amateur boxing champion and part-time MMA fighter. 2.) I'm not here to make friends. I prefer to view myself as a lone wolf and I'll win this whole thing by myself if I have to. And through winning, I hope to bring awareness to the plights currently facing Native Americans in our country right now."

Name: Amanita Alanzie
Age: 45
Job: Homemaker
Marital Status: Widowed
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but Be Loved
Short Bio: "I'm hoping this experience will be cathartic for me. Three years ago, I lost my family in a car accident and I'm still in the healing process to this day. I hope to use the perseverance it took to survive that dark period in my life to succeed in this game and make my family proud."

Name: Vinolia Caroline
Age: 23
Job: Student
Marital Status: Dating
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but Be Loved
Short Bio: "I'm someone who is always wanting to fix things. I'm never content with things remaining how they are. If I don't understand a math formula? I'm going to change that. If someone hates me? I want to change that. I'm afraid this might be seen as stubborn by some but I truly think that my willingness to work with anyone will get me far in this game."

Name: Sage Bennett
Age: 18
Job: Vape Shop Worker
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but be Loved
Short Bio: "I transitioned when I was fourteen and it wasn't an easy journey. It's still not easy but I'm lucky to have a great support system, including my parents who understood all along. I already know that my biggest weakness is my age, considering I just graduate high school. But, hey, surviving Survivor is probably an easier task than surviving college, right?"

Name: Mickey Leonard
Age: 41
Job: Car Salesman
Marital Status: Married
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Win and Be Hated
Short Bio: "You already know what I'm going to say. I'm a salesman, I'll use those skills to get what I want in the game, yada yada. Well it's true! Knowledge is power in this game and I know how to manage knowledge to use it my advantage. That being said, being a car salesman suuuuuucks and I can't wait to use these winnings to try something different.
The Tasman Tribe

Name: Suzanne Davids
Age: 21
Job: Teacher's Assistant
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Win and Be Hated
Short Bio: "I come from a well-off family but I've always used that as extra motivation to work hard, so I can feel like I earn everything I get. This means I work a little too hard at times but I think that will pay off well in this game."

Name: Alexandra Honey
Age: 26
Job: Professional Cosplayer
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but be Loved
Short Bio: "So, I'm something of a known quantity in the anime and comics circles on YouTube. I'm not "that" famous but I do have fans that I have to try to make proud. I'm not going to tell anyone this as I don't want to paint any unnecessary target on me."

Name: Gregory Rhimes
Age: 27
Job: Film Student
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Win and Be Hated

Name: Earl Green
Age: 47
Job: Unemployed
Marital Status: Widowed
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but be Loved

Name: Rick Bradley
Age: 38
Job: Fitness Instructor
Marital Status: Married
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: How is this even a question?
Short Bio: "I'm one of the best fitness instructors in the nation because I don't take no for an answer. You think anyone else could win "Best Gym in Sioux Falls" for going on seven years? I didn't think so! I will win this game and take Bradley's Bullets Gym to the national level and eventually global."

Name: Jill Hayes
Age: 24
Job: Make-Up Artist
Marital Status: Single
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but be Loved
Short Bio:"I know this cliche to say on reality television but I'm just here to have a good time. I know there was a lot of cutthroat activity last season but I'm not about that. I want to keep things simple and I think that is my best path to the title of Sole Survivor."

Name: Albert Washington
Age: 33
Job: Opera Singer
Marital Status: Married
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: Lose but be Loved
Short Bio: "I'd say my biggest strength is that I'm very self-aware. I'm loud and flamboyant, that comes with the job, doesn't it? My wife is also an opera singer so we are hoping that success on this show can bring some more awareness to the dying art of opera."

Name: Karen Svensson
Age: 63
Job: Socialite
Marital Status: Divorced
Win and Be Hated or Lose but Be Loved: I don't really care, either way
Short Bio: "I've never heard of this show and am not sure why I am on here."

The James Morgan Show 2.7

I have a shocking news for today, so tune in to find out what it is!

MONDAY

The Survivors: The expanding cast of the time-travelling sci-fi drama from Mo Buck and Tomas Alfredson added Krysten Ritter, Donald Sutherland, Jesse Bradford and Jodelle Ferland to its cast. The veteran Sutherland will play Gerald's (Brendan Fraser) former boss and Ritter will play his daughter, a cop herself. Bradford will play a younger version of Sutherland's character in flashback sequences while Ferland will play a young woman who befriends Charles (Logan Lerman).

TUESDAY

She-Hulk: Joining the She-Hulk cast are Finn Wittrock, Michael Richards, Himesh Patel and Paul Walter Hauser. Wittrock plays Dr. John Jameson, charming bachelor doctor whom Jenn develops a crush on. Richards will play Morris Walters, the father of Jenn (Jenny Slate), who grows weary of her Hulk persona. Patel will play a legal clerk at the rival firm and Hauser will play a bad guy Mary (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) falls for. Chad Taylor writes the script based on the Marvel characters. Phoebe Waller-Bridge produces.

Human: With the main cast complete, I have now learned that the show will shifted its focus during production on the two androids played by Justin Theroux and Letitia Wright. The scientists, played by Bryan Batt, Michelle Fairley and Adrian Rawlins will fall in supporting roles as the season goes along.

Hype: Dominic Wilkins and Stephen Merchant casted other talents for their crime dark comedy about the little mascot underworld. Charles Baker, Daveed Diggs, David Cross and Daniel Stern will join Seth Green, Alicia Silverstone, Gabriel Iglesias and Nick Swardson in the ensemble cast. After Dominic Wilkins encountered difficulties with the script, he made several adjustments that changed the tone of the series quite a bit.

WEDNESDAY

Showtime: The ever-expanding cast of Showtime just added Zoey Dutch, Stephen Root, Anna Gunn, Clayne Crawford, Tom Hopper, Alan Ritchson and Paul Rust to complete its ensemble cast. Clayne Crawford will play "The Superior" Brad Wolfe, a wrestler who doesn't accept the changes in the locker room in the midst of his midlife crisis. Hopper and Ritchson will play Tom and Don Jackson, two brothers who keep fighting no matter what, trying to forget a recent tragedy, while Paul Rust will play Loto the Evil Islander (Cooper Andrews)' manager, "Loudmouth" Dicky Ray. Dutch will play Brad Wolfe's sister, known as Sweet Tea, a newly hired valet in the promotion. Stephen Root will play the owner of Texas Championship Wrestling, while Anna Gunn's role remains unknown, but pivotal.

Miami Vice: The main cast will be back for a second season that will be shortened, going from 12 to 10 episodes

Rubber City Rockers: Joining Ross Lynch, Raymond J. Barry, Charlie Tahan and Logan Miller. will be Natalie Alyn Lind and Justin Long. Lind will play Teri Workman, a cheerleader at the school that the boys are crazy about, will Long's role remains unknown at the moment.

THURSDAY

Hitman: The series based on the video game series written by Dwight Gallo and produced by Francis Lawrence has added Ricardo Scamarcio and Franco Nero to its cast. Scarmarcio will play Giuseppe Guillani, a sicilian mafia mob, while Nero will play Father Emilio Vittorio.

La Maupin: In perhaps the most surprising move of the LRTV off-season, writer Ann Morrow and producer Michel Hazanavicius have announced that actress Lily Collins has been replaced in the lead role. The search for a lead actress has been tedious and they didn't feel like they had the right actress to play the role. A search for a new actress has begun and the whole problematic has set the production back. The show will become Last Resort Television's first ever miniseries with only six episodes set to air and for a debut closer to the midseason. Everyone else remains on board for the historical drama set in France.

That will be all for today and I just wanted to say that this was the last full episode of the James Morgan Show before the season begins, but I'll still post next Sunday with a little surprise !

The James Morgan Show 2.6

I knew that waiting a day or two before releasing my episode will pay off and I have plenty of news for you ahead of this episode of the James Morgan Show, thanks to two-day wait.

THURSDAY

Hitman: The second season is quickly starting to take shape with the additions of Callan Mulvey, and Freddie Pinze Jr. Mulvey will play Sergei Zavorotko, reportedly the main antagonist of the second season and Pinze Jr. will play his associate known simply as the American. Francis Lawrence returns as executive producer with a script from Dwight Gallo in this 8-episode season.

Survivor Last Resort:
Just a quick blurb to tell you the first tribe will be announced Thursday night, so tune in to meet your new contestants.

La Maupin: Some French actors were cast in supporting roles in Ann Morrow's historical drama helmed by Michel Hazanavicius. Denis Ménochet was cast as Gaston, Julie's (Lily Collins)  overprotective, alcoholic and womanizing father. French legend Gerard Depardieu joined the distribution as Count Louis de Lorraine, Gaston's superior, who develops an unhealthy relationship with Julie. Rumors are that series could turn into the first-ever LRTV miniseries and no more than six episodes.

FRIDAY

Gauntlet: The second season storyline remains a mystery but I've heard through the vines that rising star John David Washington will reportedly leave the show early on. Washington's Lincoln Tatum kind of took the backseat in the end of the first season, so it makes sense to assume his storyline will wrap-up quickly. Antoine Fuqua returns as producer with a script by Matt Parker.

Call My Agent: Following all the previous announcements regarding the casting, we have obtained the complete list of guest stars that will appear in the second season, out-of-order. It appears as James Spader, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Neal McDonough, Michael Stuhlbarg, Matthew Broderick, Dale Dickey, Halle Berry and Martin Freeman will appear in the second season.

Have Gun - Will Travel: Joining Walton Goggins in the loose adaptation of the series of the same name will be Benedict Wong and Adrianne Palicki. Wong will play Chan, the bellhop of Charlemagne Hotel, a building at the center of the story, while Palicki will play a mysterious woman who arrives at the hotel. Frank Darabont produces with a script by Dwight Gallo.

SATURDAY

Manson: The series about the life of famed cult leader Charles Manson has added Julia Garner, Juliette Angelo, Natalia Dyer and Ella Purnell to its distribution. Garner will play Mary Brunner, Manson's first partner. Angelo, Dyer and Purnell will play Manson's Family members Lynette Fromme, Susan Atkins and Patricia Krenwinkel respectively. Antonio Campos produces from a script by veteran LRF writer Lon Charles.

L.A. Noire: Joining Joe Alwyn in this video game adaptation is Brian F. O'Byrne, Eric Ladin and Brent Sexton. O'Byrne will play Captain James Donnelly, Ladin will play Detective Stefan Bekowsky and Sexton will play Detective Rusty Galloway, all colleagues of Joe Alwyn's Cole Phelps. Gavin O'Connor is on board as producer with John Malone writing.

SUNDAY

Rolling Stone: The hit show by Oliver Stone and D.R. Cobb will be back for a second season, same time, same channel. Not much is currently known about the plot, but you can expect the major players to return.

Burnt Prairie: Joining Stephan James, John Gallagher Jr., Olivia Holt and Robert Forster in the large ensemble cast of this small-town drama of a town obsessed with its basketball team and forced to look itself in the mirror when tragedy strikes is  Josh Lucas, Kristin Chenoweth, Colman Domingo, Diana Silvers and Jacob Elordi. Chad Taylor writes the script with James Ponsoldt as producer.

That will be about it for today's episode and hopefully you like the shows we have so far. I'll be back next Sunday to talk about our shows ! See you next week !
