Hitman 3.8 - Requiem for a Clone

Hitman: Requiem for a Clone
Genre: Action
Director: Francis Lawrence
Writer: Dwight Gallo
Based on the video game series
Cast: Ed Skrein, Charlotte Riley, Joseph Mazzello, Chevy Chase,  Matt McCoy and David Harewood

Plot: Agent 47 (Ed Skrein) returns to his trailer to find Diana Burnwood (Charlotte Riley) waiting for him. 47 pours himself a glass of wine and sits down. Before long, 47 begins convulsing and foaming at the mouth. Leland Alexander (Chevy Chase) emerges and congratulates Diana on a job well done. Alexander orders his men to pack up the body. They're going to hold a funeral for the biggest thorn in his side at his house.

Rick Henderson (Joseph Mazzello) is in the office of his editor, Harold Langston (David Harewood), at the First Edition offices. Henderson is telling Langston that Leland Alexander said that the clone assassin Agent 47 is the one who tried to kill President Steward. Langston says that he thinks Henderson has spent too much time around a former spook like Alexander. A messenger makes his way through the office and delivers a certified letter to Henderson, who opens it in front of Langston. It's an invitation to Agent 47's funeral.

When Henderson arrives at the funeral he sees Leland Alexander cheerier than ever before, finally having captured his prize: Agent 47. Diana is present as well. She appears upset at the sight of 47's dead body. Alexander asks Henderson if a dead body is enough proof for him. Henderson is stunned to see the deceased body of the perpetrator of so many murders.

Leland Alexander invites each of the guests to say a farewell to Agent 47 before he is cremated. When it is Diana's turn, she rubs a balm on her lips and prized Silverballer pistols across his chest, supposedly as a sign of respect. Diana then gives 47 a kiss on the lips. Suddenly Agent 47 wakes up and uses the guns to kill every single guest at the funeral aside from Diana.

On national television, President Thomas Steward (Matt McCoy) announces the that a great American patriot, Leland Alexander, has died peacefully in his sleep. He says that Alexander will be missed, but he certainly won't be forgotten for his contributions to the American intelligence community.

Diana sets up shop again in her office at the ICA offices overlooking the Copenhagen harbor. She looks at a picture of Agent 47 from his file before tucking it away in a secret compartment in her desk. She receives a call asking her if she has a location for 47. Diana says that she does not know his current location, but that she imagines he'll be in touch sooner rather than later.

Agent 47 walks through an exotic marketplace and into a rundown building. 47 walks up to a desk and asks the man behind it what he has to offer, preferably in the back.
