Plot: Sonny Crockett (Josh Holloway) is welcomed back at OCB after his time away. Ricardo Tubbs (Taye Diggs) jokes that only Crockett would end up in a shootout with drug runners on his vacation. Larry Zito (Troy Garity) and Stan Switek (Brad William Henke) give Crockett and Tubbs the address of a deal they had set up. Lt. Martin Castillo (Andy Garcia) informs them that Gina Calabrese (Katrina Law) and Trudy Joplin (Megalyn Echikunwoke) will be their backup on the deal, posing as prostitutes around the corner from the deal and will be listening in on the whole thing. The deal goes bad quickly as the dealers seem to know that Crockett and Tubbs are cops. Tubbs tries to convince them they're not, but one of the dealers pulls at Tubb's hidden wire. The dealers ambush Crockett and Tubbs. Gina and Trudy begin running around the corner toward the deal. Suddenly, the dealers are all taken out by a sniper. Crockett and Tubbs stand there stunned as Gina and Trudy arrive for backup.

Switek and Zito go visit Izzy Lamont (Mike Epps) at his latest business venture, a hotdog cart. They have him make a few calls, and he informs them that someone named "Calderone" has put a $1 million bounty on Tubbs' head. Switek and Zito head back to OCB and tell the squad what they learned. Crockett is confused since he shot Calderone dead himself to save Tubbs' life. At the end of the day, Crockett drives Tubbs home to make sure that nobody tries to take him out. When Tubbs enters his house, he finds Angelina (Alexa PenaVega), Calderone's daughter, waiting for him. Tubbs is even more surprised to notice that Angelina is noticeably pregnant. They sit and talk and Angelina confirms that Tubbs is the father. Tubbs asks why she is in Miami, and she tells him that her brother Orlando has taken over her father's drug operations and wants to kill Tubbs for his part in killing their father. She's still mad at him, but she doesn't want the father of her soon to be born son to be killed too. She tries to give him an envelope of money, $1 million, so that he can leave town, but Tubbs refuses and leaves to go get help from Crockett.

Tubbs sits down with Crockett and Castillo and fills them in on Angelina. Castillo orders Tubbs to go to a safe house until everything can get sorted out and they can guarantee his safety. Tubbs says he'll go, but only if Angelina can come with him. Tubbs and Crockett head over to Tubbs' place to pick Angelina up, but they find the house ransacked and Angelina is gone. Orlando Calderone (Diego Boneta) has Angelina tied up in a trailer by the beach. He orders his men to rig the trailer with explosives. He then berates his sister for going against the family. Not only is she helping the men who killed their father, but she also got pregnant from one of them. Orlando spits at his sister and leaves the trailer. Orlando calls Tubbs with instructions to meet him in an abandoned trailer park in one hour and that Angelina will be in one of the trailers for him to find. Zito is trying to trace the call and implores Tubbs to keep the conversation going a little longer, but Orlando hangs up just before they can pinpoint the location.

Castillo has Switek pull up satellite images of the trailer park, but admits that it is pretty difficult to come up with a plan of action ahead of time without knowing which trailer Angelina is being kept in. Tubbs says he'll go confront Orlando himself, but Crockett insists on going. Crockett hides in the back of Tubbs' car as he drives toward the trailer park. Castillo has the rest of the squad meet up with SWAT to surround the trailer park. Tubbs pulls the car into the middle of the park and begins walking around and calling out for Angelina. When he finally makes it to the trailer she's in, Orlando calls him over to talk. Angelina tries yelling through her gag to tell Tubbs something. Angelina struggles with her ties, and ends up falling over in her chair, setting off the explosives and blowing up the trailer. Crockett gets out of the backseat and begins shooting at Orlando's men. Tubbs stares at the burning trailer in agony, while Orlando escapes in the chaos of the flames and the shootout. The rest of the Vice squad arrives with SWAT and takes out the rest of Orlando's men. Castillo orders everyone to do a sweep of the area to see if they can find Orlando.

Tubbs holds a funeral for Angelina and his unborn child, who he decides to name Rafael after his late brother. Crockett offers to take Tubbs out on his boat after the funeral to talk about things, saying he knows a thing or two about loss. A van pulls up to the funeral proceedings, alerting the police in attendance. The driver of the van insists he's just delivering flowers. Tubbs takes the flowers. The card is signed by Orlando and simply says "I'll be back."
