Plot: Linda (Kathryn Hahn) has to give a speech to the search engine Gong as its the 5th year anniversary. With help from Emily (Malin Akerman) and Melissa (Zooey Deschanel) she tries to get over her fear of speaking in public but Victoria (Christina Appelgate) calls Emily's mother as she takes Emily out shopping which Emily shows refusal. Leaving Linda alone with a One Direction nut in Melissa. Melissa tries to dig into Linda's problem as she uses Pop culture and how no matter the lawsuit they keep at it.

Raj (Karen Soni) and Nic (Danny McBride) get tied up in a secret video game project of Nic old war times which turn weird, unjust and racist. Raj finds out Nic is hard on others cause of his mentorship to one guy in the army and how he died is why he has it a secret. And if Raj tells anyone he will sent him back to AT&T.

Richard is seen working till Tony Hoffman (John Goodman) gets into how he'll piss off Tessa by its all over. "Now is this head security's stoner talking from the pipe or is this actually the dbag I can stand?" Says Richard. Tom offers a bet it will all end ugly and Richard accepts they'll stay friendly for $50.

Emily is seen suffering from her mothers selfish gift buying for herself and how she digs into her private life like with her husband and tells her to lay off. Emily later reveals she is getting a divorce and how when she heard it, her mother acted like nothing happened.

Deon tries to get Dr Dre, who is performing at the anniversary, to listen to his demo with DJs help. After Dre rejects it, Deon asks him if Dre likes to slap dreams like Tupac, DJ has to defend Deon before Kendrick Lamar starts up with how Gary Coleman is still alive. Deon attacks Kendrick saying "Ill show you king of new York!" It goes into a huge fight as Richard and Tessa had to give up their feud to help them but Tessa tricks Richard and wins the prize that was just $50 ashamed she throws the trophy away and goes to help Deon and DJ. Linda interrupted by the fight gets told by her father that she can do it even though if she will be a failure and walks off. Emily goes to reassure Linda that they can do it. "If I can stand one moment with my mom without thinking of struggling her, you can give a speech" Emily says.

Linda goes up and gives the real speech of hers how she enjoys coming to work and be with the people she works with. Victoria walks off in a Hoff as Emily and Melissa share a toast. "Told ya 1D can trigger the soul." Says Melissa as Emily nods yes but some exhaustion and drinks. Linda finishes and the party starts.

Richard and Tessa talk about how they're sorry for how they acted and how nothing will get in the way again till Tom comes in telling Richard that since Tessa cheated and didn't accept the reward, Richard wins the Contest. Tom smiles at Richard as he says "Put that in your pipe and smoke it". And walks away laughing as Tessa is pissed off she is number one again making Richard to stand awkwardly. Linda is congrated by Emily who is drunk and Melissa who is thanked for 1D therapy. "I should open a practice! Why has anyone else thought this?" Says Melissa in her interview.

Final scene is Nice talking Dre about the fight and Deon till it comes to Nice reminding Dre of a bet and Dre gives him $50 as Dr. Dre says "How was I suppose to know he cry like a b*****" Nice laughs as he says he's a master at the hustle and walks off. With Deon panically asking Nic if he knew Dre.

I'm not entirely sure what's more of a trainwreck: Gong's offices, or the brutal attempt at the mockumentary sub-genre by the once brilliant Bill Prady

"I'm not really sure what happened during the first episode of Search Here. We don't get to know the characters really well and most of them seem unlikable. John Goodman and Karen Soni are the most likeable ones and we barely seem them.

"I honestly can't say if this pilot has been shot in 2011 or 2019. From the outdated cultural references to the unnanounced rapping guest stars to Dance Dance Revolution contest, the only thing I can say about Search Here is that it can only go up from here.
