The James Morgan Show (S1E2)

Hello and welcome to the second edition of the James Morgan Show! I have a lot of things to talk about and let's start with the obvious, we have a new logo, courtesy of Chad Taylor!

Thanks a lot to Chad Taylor who provided the logo and long live Last Resort TV!

Now, let's talk about various developments behind the scenes.

Joining the previously announced Nez Perce (Dwight Gallo), Lady of the House (Chad Taylor)  Rolling Stone (D.R. Cobb) and Survivor: Last Resort (Chad Taylor) are:

Gauntlet: The series from writer Matt Parker and showrunner Antoine Fuqua will follow the players of the Memphis Pharaohs of the fictional American Football Association as they begin their season, desperate to make the playoffs to save their jobs and keep the team from being relocated from Memphis. William Fichtner, Josh Duhamel, Trevor Jackson, Eric Roberts and John David Washington have joined the main cast. Fichtner will play the head coach and general manager of the team, Ken Heath, Duhamel will play Tim Collins, veteran quarterback, Jackson the rookie running back, Robert the owner of the team and Washington the veteran running back of the Pharaohs. They will be joined by Saffron Burrows, Kat Graham, Marley Shelton and B.D. Wong in recurring roles. Burrows will play the mayor of Memphis, Graham the head cheerleader, Shelton the ex-wife of Duhamel's character and Wong will play the team doctor. 12 episodes have been ordered.

Hitman: Last Resort TV has picked up a second series by writer Dwight Gallo, based on the video game series, as well as the novels and comic books based on the series. Francis Lawrence will act as showrunner of the 8-episodes series. Ed Skrein has been hired to play the lead role of Agent 47. He will be joined by Charlotte Riley, Christian Berkel and Iain Armitage in the main cast. Riley will play Diana Burwood, one of the handlers at the Agency that employs 47, Berkel will play Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer, one of the creator of 47 and Armitage will play a younger version of the main character. Will Artnett, Greg Byrk, Ulrich Thomsen and Gabriel Bateman will for the recurring cast.

Leaving Everything: Our very own Ann Morrow pens this series based on the French Canadian novel La Femme qui Fuit by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, based on the amazing life of her grandmother. Not much is known at the moment, but Rebecca Hall has been cast in the lead role of Suzanne, the woman at the center of the story. Robin Tunney will join her as Suzanne's granddaughter who digs deep into the life of her deceased grandmother. Marielle Heller has been hired as showrunner.

Brimstone: A series loosely based on the BloodRayne video game series from writer Mark Newton has been picked up, with David S. Goyer as showrunner of the action-horror 12 episodes series. Not much is known right now, but I've heard that Holland Roden has been hired in the lead role of Rayne. I'll find out more about it and will share what I found next week.

The Lady of the House: Speaking of another leading lady, it looks like Chad Taylor and François Ozon have found theirs for their dark comedic erotic thriller. Linda Cardellini won the casting call and will join the already mentioned Alfred Molina, Ezra Miller and Maia Mitchell

Just like last week here's the leaked schedule draft:
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
Primetime Nez Perce  Gauntlet Survivor Hitman Rolling Stone
Late Evening The Lady of the House Leaving Everything Brimstone
